Home

Just wrapped up a run of Thanks for the Scabies, Jerkface! in New York City's FRIGID Fest. Now I understand why people say "I love New York." I'm in the city until the end of March, then back to Kentucky - but I imagine I'll be back north sooner than I think.

Announced yesterday! My book Dose: Plays & Monologues is a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award in Drama/Theatre! Available exclusively (nifty!) on Amazon.com, it includes the full original script for 'Thanks for the Scabies, Jerkface!' and two brand-new monologues. Also included is the one-act 'Almost': at once comic and devastating, it explores how two young men arrive at the point where they can't even touch. Pick up a copy now: order here!

I am currently working on my newest solo show PHI ALPHA GAMMA, which will premiere this summer at the Minnesota Fringe Festival. If you have any gigs to offer, shoot an e-mail to booking@danbernitt.com.

I really should update this site more often. And the photos: I now have a beard and glasses. Hip-hip emo glasses, though I am not exactly hip-hip emo. And I'm sure the beard will disappear within the hour. Perhaps.

Regardless:

Lorve and pie,
Dan-o

can you help?

Dan is in the planning stages for a new solo performance. The new work will be a departure of his traditional autobiographical work, and will focus on the intersection of homophobia, masculinity, and relationships between men. Your donation will help fuel Dan's car to drive to find stories where these three roads meet.

Special thanks to the Kentucky Arts Council for their generous financial support. And, especially, supporters like you.
